Why I Built This
You pay someone. Updates run. Antivirus is on. That's handled, and mostly it is.
But Windows Update never touches the other software on your computer. The PDF reader, the browser add-on, the program a vendor installed three years ago. Nobody's tool is wrong about those programs. Most tools never look.

What the Check-Up Looks At
A measurement of your computer, not a claim about the world.
15 categories, one set of checks
Every check-up runs the same checks on every computer: software nothing updates, programs past end of life, antivirus installed but not running, remote-access tools you didn't know were there, and more. You see how many were checked, how many are current, and how many aren't.
What Add/Remove Programs can't see
A large share of what a person actually runs never appears in the standard software list. A program your patch tool can't see doesn't show up as a problem. It shows up as nothing at all. The check-up looks there too.
Counted, dated, named
No grade, no score. Each finding says what was observed, on which computer, on what date, and out of how many checks. When something couldn't be checked, the report says so instead of leaving a blank.
The point: the tools you already have are good at what they do. But a promise isn't a measurement. The check-up doesn't argue with your antivirus or your IT provider. It counts, in front of you, and you decide.

What You Can Expect
We tell you what the check-up observed, never what you have. Every count carries its date and the number of checks it came from.
The check-up only reads. It changes nothing on your computer, and it will never tell you to switch off your antivirus or click past a warning. A security company can't ask that.
Run it once and never speak to us again, and that's a fine outcome. Most people run it again in a few months to see what changed.
